Semon Summary

How can we can make a choice without being given options to choose from? We can’t ! To make a decision, options have to be presented to you and then weighed against each other. God has given us options. God gave each and every one of us free will to decide our fate after we leave this world. It’s either heaven or hell. As Christians, it is our responsibility to make people aware of their options so they can make an informed decision.

We should draw in the world, like a beacon, and share the word of God through how we live and how we give love to others. If we instill it in our hearts , it will become our ultimate tool for our own salvation as well as how we attract the unsaved. Nothing will stop the will of God so we need to be about our father’s business.

We have to tell people how to be saved.

Today’s sermon was centered around the following scriptures:

Acts 19 : 21 After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.

Acts 20 : 17 - 18 And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church. And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons

At some point, if you want to go to heaven, you’ll have to accept the word of God. Then, you have to teach others how to deal with the gospel of the grace of God.

When Christ was among us , one of his goals was to spread the will and word of his father so that as many souls as possible could be saved through his impending sacrifice. He wanted to let us know that we can’t buy our way in or get in on just good behavior. Only through him would we be able to completely submit and be transformed. Acknowledgement, Provisions, and Reception.

Acknowledgement: We were created to be in the kingdom of God but sin has separated us. Every single one of us is guilty of sin and we can’t remove our guilt on our own.

Provisions: God has provided a way for us to come into his Kingdom through the sacrifice of Christ and repentance.

Reception: We must sincerely seek God and plead guilty to him, admitting that we have sinned and our sins go against him. Then we can accept Christ as our lord and savior and accept the sentence of death to our natural will and ways.

If you make space for him, God will give you everything you need to change and grow into who he intended you to be. Then you can go out and give God’s gospel to the world so others can do the same. Lift the word of God up and glorify his name.
